Sometimes it's the little words that make the biggest difference—especially during the quieter time of year. This DIY Advent calendar isn't a classic chocolate-filled adventure, but a lovingly designed companion through December: 24 cards filled with beautiful wishes, empowering thoughts, and inspiring sayings. Whether for your best friend, your partner, or simply for yourself—this calendar offers a touch of warmth and mindful time every day. Personal, creative, and just the thing for a slower Advent season.

Material:
- Mistletoe (Ø 20–30 cm)
- differently patterned ribbons
- 24 labels or 2 sheets of handmade paper
- Letter stamp
- black ink pad
- small red and white brackets
- Storage tray for the labels
- Scissors
- Pencil
- small piece of cardboard
- cutter
Crafting instructions:
Hang the mistletoe in a window or in front of a wall using nylon thread, attaching it to a hook in the ceiling. Then tie the ribbons to the branches. Use as many ribbons as you like. You can use 24 ribbons, but you can also use fewer, as you can hang multiple labels on one ribbon.
It's best to make the labels using a stencil. If you're using handmade paper, cut the labels out so that the uneven edges of the paper remain—this looks natural and atmospheric.
Stamp the labels with good wishes. Print the letters slightly irregularly – this will give the labels a unique and charming look. It's also nice to mix letters of different sizes. Then place the labels in a pretty bowl.
During Advent, a different family member is allowed to draw the "wish of the day" each day and attach it to the ribbons with a clip. This way, everyone can go through the Christmas season richly gifted and positively supported.
Suggestions for good wishesLove, trust, friendship, peace, freedom, light, warmth, humor, laughter, health, forgiveness, courage, devotion, benevolence, peace, joy, deceleration, relaxation, inspiration, miracles, contemplation, heart strength, kindness, zest for life
