Pointed cabbage 'Chateaurenard' - Brassica oleracea
The organic pointed cabbage 'Chateaurenard' is a fast-growing pointed cabbage variety with a compact habit. It can be grown from spring to fall and is also well-suited for early cultivation under plastic cover. This pointed cabbage produces firm heads with rounded tips, typically weighing 800 to 1000 g. The leaves are light green and tender. White cabbage is rich in fiber and contains many healthy nutrients such as vitamin C, potassium, and iron.
Our high-quality organic vegetable seeds are grown according to the strictest organic standards for a sustainable and healthy harvest.

Soil: firm, humus-rich, calcareous
Fertilization: Organic fertilizer or compost
Location: Sunny, partially shaded
Water consumption: High
Growing tips:
White cabbage prefers moist, humus-rich, and calcareous soils in sunny or partially shaded locations. The plants are heavy feeders, so it's beneficial to work mature compost into the soil before planting. However, excessive fertilizer application encourages pest infestation.
The plants are pricked out at the cotyledon stage. It is advisable to grow the cabbage under fine-mesh netting to protect it from insects such as the cabbage leaf fly and the cabbage white butterfly. Adequate watering is essential.
Harvest time is when the cabbage head is fully developed and pleasantly firm. It is then cut from the stalk with a sharp knife, and the unusable root is disposed of in the compost.
Mixed culture:
Good neighbors: beans, lettuce, peas, celery, dill and thyme
Bad neighbors: other cabbage varieties, garlic, beets, horseradish and onions
Use:
This pointed cabbage is prepared in a similar way to white cabbage, but should be cooked for a shorter time.
It can be enjoyed as a stew, a side dish, or raw or marinated as a salad.

approx. 60 grains
Store in a cool, dry place.
