Growing tips:
It's definitely advisable to start bulbs early, as they have a relatively long development time. You can start sowing as early as mid-April, with 3-5 seeds per pot for planting in mid-May. Transplanting is not recommended, as the roots are relatively sensitive.
Before planting, the soil should be thoroughly loosened and composted. A location exposed to wind is best so the foliage can dry properly. When planting, the bulbs should not be planted too deeply, as otherwise, attractive bulbs will not develop. Ideally, only the roots should be in the soil.
Onions require plenty of sun and dry weather. Ideally, there should be sufficient rainfall until the bulb ripens, and then the weather should remain dry and hot, as they are unfortunately more susceptible to disease in humid summers.

Good neighbors: Carrots, garlic, lettuce, parsley, cucumbers, tomatoes, zucchini, beetroot, dill and chamomile
