Gardening in a square

At one square meter, the small pinewood bed is an ideal growing space for lettuce, herbs, and vegetables. Just like its larger counterpart, square foot gardening, the small wooden box is divided into nine equal-sized squares using a wooden template. These are planted differently, creating a mixed culture.
