Cranesbill - Meadow Cranesbill - Geranium pratense
Meadow cranesbill (Geranium pratense) is a charming perennial that delights with its brilliant blue to violet flowers from June to July. This native wild perennial impresses with its natural beauty and its attraction to bees and butterflies. Reaching a height of 60–90 cm, Geranium pratense is ideal for natural-looking beds, flower meadows, and as a cut flower.

Growing tips:
Cold germinator. Sowing should initially take place for 2–4 weeks at temperatures of approximately 18–22 °C and should be kept well moist. A subsequent cold period of 4–6 weeks at -4 to +4 °C is required to promote germination. After this period, the temperature should remain at 5–12 °C until germination is complete.
Geranium pratense thrives best in well-drained, humus-rich soils in sunny to partially shaded locations. After flowering, it's recommended to prune the plant to encourage compact growth and possibly rebloom. The perennial is hardy and requires no additional protection.
