Aniseed nettle - Agastache foeniculum
The perennial, hardy anise fragrant nettle impresses with its numerous violet-blue flowers. It is suitable for beds, open spaces, and containers. However, planting in groups is particularly effective. The fragrant nettle exudes a hint of aniseed fragrance that appeals to humans and insects alike. A tea made from the fresh or dried leaves of the anise fragrant nettle tastes of anise and fennel and is said to help with nausea and stomach upsets. The harvest for the use of the leaves is from March to June, followed by the flowering period from July to September.

Growing tips :
Cultivation can be done as a pre-cultivation from February to March or outdoors from April. To do this, the seeds should be placed in well-moistened potting soil and only lightly covered. Nettle readily spreads via its own seeds after flowering. If you want to prevent self-seeding, remove the spent parts of the plant before the seeds ripen. Furthermore, pruning after flowering promotes a good second bloom. In harsher climates, winter protection is recommended, so pruning is only advisable in spring.
