Globe thistle - Echinops ritro 'Veicht's Blue'
The perennial globe thistle, with its characteristic, spherical flower heads in a deep blue, adds a striking and elegant touch to flowerbeds and bouquets. Its compact blooms make it particularly well-suited for contemporary or avant-garde floral arrangements. It also attracts bees and butterflies.

The easy-care globe thistle blooms in the year it is sown. After germination, the seedlings should be placed in a slightly cooler location, at approximately 14°C. As soon as the Ice Saints are over in mid-May, the seedlings can be planted in the garden. The young plants can be pinched once they reach a height of approximately 20 cm, meaning the main stem is shortened to encourage side shoots to form and the plant to become bushier.
