Growing tips :
The rough coneflower is a cool flower (cold germinator) and requires a cold stimulus. Sowing in the fall results in early flowering the following year.
The seeds can also be started in a warmer environment (18-20ºC) starting in March, and planted outdoors starting in late May. They need light to germinate and should therefore only be covered with soil. Keep slightly moist, but not too wet!
After the last frosts from around mid-May, it is also possible to sow the seeds directly outdoors.
