Cornflower - Centaurea cyanus 'White Ball'
Variety description:
The 'White Ball' cornflower is a charming cottage-style flower and a must-have for white-themed gardens. The striking, double blooms are characterized by their beautiful pure white color and envelop the stamens like a fluffy, ruffled skirt. These enchanting flowers look particularly stunning in masses in a flower meadow, in garden beds, or in cut flower arrangements.
The decorative flowers are not only a feast for the eyes, but are also edible and add a special touch to salads or soups.

Growing tips:
The cornflower is a very undemanding, easy-care plant. It is best sown directly in the garden from March to July. If staggered, it can bloom until late autumn and provide food for insects. Dead flowers should be removed regularly. This extends the flowering period by several weeks. Sowing in autumn before the first frost is also possible, as the cornflower is one of the so-called cool flowers, which require a cold stimulus for germination.
