Rough coneflower - Rudbeckia hirta 'Cherokee Sunset Mix'
The large, double flowers of the coneflower 'Cherokee Sunset Mix' have a wide color range of orange, bronze and chocolate tones.
This annual is a wonderful, long-blooming summer flower that's ideal for cutting. The faded heads should be removed regularly to ensure abundant rebloom well into autumn. Bees and butterflies love the coneflower and swarm around it.

Growing tips :
The rough coneflower is a cool flower (cold germinator) and requires a cold stimulus. Sowing in the fall results in early flowering the following year.
The seeds can also be started in a warmer environment (18-20ºC) starting in March, and planted outdoors starting in late May. They require light to germinate (light germinators!) and should therefore only be lightly covered with soil. Keep slightly moist, but not too wet!
