Zinnia - Zinnia elegans 'Queen Lime with Blush'
The Zinnia 'Queen Lime with Blush' impresses with double and semi-double, lime and purple flower heads. These annual beauties prefer a sunny to partially shaded, sheltered location and bloom throughout the season. They can be started early in pots indoors or sown directly outdoors from mid to late April. Zinnias are not only beautiful to look at, but also important sources of nectar for our beneficial insects!

Germination time: 7-14 days
Height: 90 cm
Planting distance: 30 cm

Growing tips :
The pre-grown plants should not be planted outdoors until after the last frost. Regular pruning promotes growth and can extend the flowering window. With regular watering, zinnias are easy-care plants. Once the plants are about 15 to 20 cm tall, they can be pinched, meaning the main stem is shortened. This will make the zinnias bushier and produce more flowers.
Use :
cut flower
Food for insects
Cut flower :
Zinnias should only be pruned when the stem is stable and strong enough to support the bloom. Grasp the stem 20 cm below the bloom and shake it gently. If the stem is limp or bends sharply, it is not ready for pruning. If it remains upright, it is ready for harvest. Zinnias will last in a vase for up to a week with regular water changes.
